This movie is unlike other movies that have become common and predictable. You see the characters working through obstacles in their lives and having common ordinary flaws and doubts about their relationships while trying to make their own rules and definitions in traditional roles. Carrie tries to be Mrs Preston while maintaining true to her identity as Carrie Bradshaw. Charlotte gets overwhelmed being a mother that she obesses over something that isn't even there. Miranda finds herself at odds with her boss and decides to embrace life outside of the offices. Samantha has returned to her single life and makes no apologies for who she is a single, sexual, menopausal woman. All in all, it deals with lifes common obstacles and can be a reflection in the lives of those in the audience. It may not be a feel good movie the entire time but it is a reflection of the lives of women.
