Who can say that wasn't awesome. This movie rocked my face off! This flick and Iron Man are what summer blockbusters are all about, funny, action packed, fancy CGI, etc. It gets me excited about what Marvel has in store for the future. I was entertained, that is what matters. Spending $20 for 2 tickets didn't bug me after thios movie. The action was so intense, we were on a testosterone high. You walk out wanting to just get in a fight. Sounds silly, but that is how much it pulls you in. Go check it out.
Do not get me wrong, the movie was good, and by paying the rediculous price of ten dollars I believe, as a true anime fan, that I am helping this kind of film become more popular and demanded in the U.S. The movie though did what almost every other anime feature film has done in my opinion (aside from the FullMetal Alchemist movie and the recent DeathNote live action movie), it has left me feeling unsatisfied. Watching the series I beg for more and I cant get enough, but I am satisfied by the quality and excitment of the Bleach story, fights, and characters. The movie was just an extended story that really didn't leave me saying wow. The fights were descent, but I didn't get the same kick out of them like in the series, and I was really hoping for an awesome match between Ganryu and Ichigo, that was a disappointment. You barely hear out of some characters, which is ok, there is a story to follow, but simply put, I have too many complaints about the film. I love the series and have been watching it before I knew how popular it was and when it just started showing. Frankly I think the movie doesn't do it justice, but it is good enough to go support the anime wave coming to the U.S. and to watch with friends.
