The first Halloween movie re-make by Rob Zombie was realistic and raw. In fact it gave the audience a deeper perspective into the young, abused distrubed mind of Michael Myers. The home setting, parental neglect, school bullying and even Dr. Loomis' character we see really tried to help young Michael to no avail of course.
Now, Halloween II (remake) was stylized Rob Zombie promoting his satanic beliefs which is his right but it took Michael's story into surrealism, which is maybe what Zombie was after but for me it did not work.
