Refreshing Sci-fi flik

After the self indulgent cheese-fest that was Transformers 2, District 9 was a refreshing Sci-fi flik, and would gladly go see it again!

Meh, was a let down

LOVED the first transformers, and I gave everything I had last night to try and love this one as well, but it was just tough. The effects were incredible, as usual. But the plot didnt flow well, and the story just didnt seem to be as original as the first movie. Also they kinda "Jar-Jar binks-d" it a little bit with the addition of a few comedic transformers. They didnt do their homework as far as military technology, and REALLY didnt do their homework when the story took a turn into egyptian geography and history, which for an Egyptian history buff like me, is kinda a big deal.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
