The writing was pretty bad, it was not funny! there were four of us that went and we were all in agreement that the comedy was forced, and did not flow, we wanted to laugh, there were just a few giggles but overall it was a huge disapointment. i understand comedy is subjective, and we are not 13 year old boys, so perhaps that is why we did not laugh? i would not tell anyone i know to go see this movie.
i watched the show on HBO, i watched the re-runs, i just love SATC. however when they announced a movie was going to be made, i thought, too late, not interested, thanks anyway... well as the Public Relations blitz began, i gained interest, i saw the specials, i read the buzz online, and got very excited about the movie... so much so that i was sure i'd be dissapointed by all the hype!! a group of girls from the office got out early on friday (opening day) and decided to go see it right after work- i got chills i loved it so much, i cried about 5 times, from happiness, from sadness too - the whole theatre cheered when it started, and everyone clapped at the end of the movie, that is RARE! when we left, there was a huge line outside for the next show, i knew that it was going to be a huge hit, and i'm so glad. the movie was fantastic, I missed those girls!
