I am so glad I decided to watch the 25th anniversary celebration of Les Miserable on the big screen. It was such an incredible cast with stellar performances by all except Nick Jonas who was pretty two dimensional. I would probably go and watch it again if I could.
While not horrible, this film did not reel me in like Almovodar's earlier works. It played out more like a telenovela to me.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Nothing less than a visually stunning, emotionally powerful tale of love and loss. Kudos to Tom Ford for his directorial debut. I'd expect nothing less from him than the stylish, sleek setting that was created for this film- along with, of course, the fashion and the beautiful actors. This is Colin Firth's finest performance to date. He deserves an Oscar.
An amazing update of an old tv show/movie series. Although I was little confused about the space-time continuum story line at times, the overal arc of the story and the development of the characters.. and, of course, the special effects were all superb. Seeing it at the IMAX made the experience all the more thrilling. I highly recommend this movie.
