Intelligent, sharp dialogue. Good-to-excellent acting. A smartly-devised plot with lots of tension between the protagonists. The superb action sequences are really a backdrop for what takes place between these flawed individuals who possess extraordinary abilities. The plot puts them in a situation where the only logical choice is to work together. The result: brilliant.
An unusually-told tale of aliens on earth. The documentary-style worked great for me. The fact that the actors were all unknown to me made it better as far as lessening the predictability of the plot. The gore is quite vivid, at times even disturbing. The thrills were very real and mostly very well done.
Pixar gets it right again! The storyline flows effortlessly from the screen. The graphic design and landscapes created by the animators take you aback. Wall-E is a machine, but you sense his emotions and enjoy his reactions to every situation. There is not much dialog, and it's not needed. Totally recommend the movie.
