Like everyone else is saying, read the book before watching. The movie is a little fluffy, not as serious as the book, but it's watchable. Some characters were underdeveloped and the special effects a little goofy, but it was a small budget film. I didn't love it like I was hoping, but I'm not hating it either!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
