All the content of the book was in this movie and I am so pleased about that...the relationship between Bella and Edward was more nuanced...Bella and Jacobs relationship felt real and anquished....this cast is growing into these parts..Although the movie did a great job of giving background on Jasper and Rosalie, it felt like the rest of the Cullens were just there....like they didn't really matter....and in the book, they matter...they are intrical to the all the decisions that Bella and Edward make.....all in all a great movie...looking forward to Breaking Dawn...
Yes, I recommend this movie.

First of all, let me say, I really enjoyed the movie...having said that, my review...
Scenes that could have gone on to their conclusion didn't....left me feeling like alot of footage must have gotten edited...
having said that, Stephanie and Melissa (author and screenwriter) know the material and made the choices...
A 2 hour and 10 minute version of the book was more than adequate, but for me, it made me want to read the book again to remember how it made me feel originally.
The cast is unbelievably brillant and talented and the city of Volterra was exactly as I pictured it and was so beautiful, I could have cried....
Yes, I recommend this movie.

As an adult woman over 40 who loves and adores the "Twilight" series of books, I was very excited to see the movie...when I first learned about Robert Pattinson being cast as Edward, I was skeptical and disappointed, but I gotta tell you, he was amazing!!! This movie captures the essence of the first book for me....and as a result has me looking forward to what is coming...more "Twilight" movies with bigger budgets and hopefully given the amount of onscreen time to tell the story...
I did think it moved pretty fast and there were aspects that I didn't much care for i.e.
Bella in panties and tank...where are the beloved torn and hole ridden sweats?
Never the less, I will see it again and again and I walked out smiling and satisfied...
Yes, I recommend this movie.
