The visuals were stunning, 3D effects great and the story good. This was a bit of a twist on the old story about Humans wanting what others have and trying to get it at any cost. The scenery was unusual, exotic, beautifully done, as well as the flora and fauna. Even though much of the story was predictable, they even telegraphed what was to come, it held the interest of all of us from beginning to end. Our ages went from 10 years to 58. We all recommend this movie (A MUST IN 3D!) to anyone 13 and up, including some younger kids, if they are not scared by fighting or killing scenes.
A very watchable movie, even after reading the books. Many movies do not follow the books and do not hold up. This was great for both those who have or have not read the book. There were some things left out, but unless they were going to make a 6 hour movie, some things could not be put in. It was very true to the main ideas and story line and leaves you wanting the next one soon!
I don't see what some people were complaining about. It is good, full of action (mostly), and as long as you suspend reality (like you would on MOST movies) it is very watchable. I recommend it to any Indiana Jones fan or soon to be. Harrison Ford plays the part just like before, though older, he still fights and whips like before.
