This film is very well crafted and beautifuly shot. You are immersed into the time period and the island hospital for the insane. Wonderful acting, well scripted and lovingly crafted by Martin Scorsese. Leonardo does a fine job of keeping you focused on the film and is well supported by everyone else.
I just wish the story was more intense and harrowing. A backdrop such as this deserved to be nail biting and cause profuse sweating and night terrors. Sorry Sorsese.... you just didn't push the obvious envelope of terror that this setting deserved. However, this is still a fine film on the order of Beautiful Mind or Catch Me if You Can.
