Funny for Star Trek

This movie comes in near the top of the list of Trek movies, though not the best. The movie takes us back to before Capt. James T. Kirk's birth (well actually to his birth) and an alternate version of history thanks to some Romulans. In this timeline, Kirk's father dies and young James becomes a bit of a rebel. Jump ahead to Starfleet Academy and the fun really starts. Star Trek takes advantage of every opportunity to re-introduce us to our favorite characters. Its fun, and there are definitely some funny moments. It's done well, and I only realized that it was funny after the movie - since these were many of the moments that I remember the best from the movie. Overall; Star Trek is a solid movie, with a good story, and great characters.
