Another great IJ blockbuster by Lucas and Spielberg. Harrison Ford, who does his own stunts, has still got it. Shia LaBeouf shows promise as Indiana's sidekick, and John Hurt plays a crazy guy so well, he is hardly recognizable. Blanchett is fabulous -- sinister enough to tick off the Russian Commies, who are calling for a boycott of the film, saying it's revisionist history!! It's also great to see Karen Allen again, who looks amazing despite the 28 years that have passed since Raiders came out! We just don't see enough of her. Those who don't think the plot is good enough or the action pervasive enough must have seen a different film (or didn't see it at all). One wonders what in the world they expected. But those of us who have been around since the beginning have something to cheer about here. Sure, we miss Marcus and Henry, Sr., but it's nice the way the writers worked the references to them in. Overall, an extremely solid effort, absolutely worth seeing on the big screen, probably more than once! Plenty of mystery and action to fill the 2 hours, 5 minutes of film. We can only hope this isn't the last of the series.
