The movie was stocked with the action, special effects, humor and characters one has always found in Indiana Jones movies. One had to suspend disbelief in a major way here, but one was still completely absorbed in the movie from start to finish. This movie, however, had a funny aftertaste. I believe it had such implausible premise that you didn't leave the theatre wondering, for instance, where the Holy Grail was or was there a lost arc? Your thoughts were more along the lines of "Yea, sure". These are clearly among the greatest filmmakers of this generation but one must still craft a plot that in some way matches up with the viewer's sense of reality. I'm afraid this Indiana Jones offering didn't. You ARE left wondering if there will be other Jones movies with Shia Labeouf in the lead role. He did a wonderful job and he's not too old to be credible in later films.
