.As a medical provider I was not shocked by the breakdown of humanity in this film. This is not an action packed thriller but more of a reality check from the writer/director's perspective. The film did jump all over, but it encompassed the breakdown of social services, the government bureaucracy, the greed, chaos and sadness of a global pandemic. Nice to see Hollywood was not too far off the mark this time (just a little). I also enjoyed how they snuck in a little compassion and empathy in the characters in their willingness to help others and a little "douche baggery" in Jude Law's character. Overall not a bad reminder of what could happen.
It is a good film..... but not worth the ticket price. The plot is very slow and the action was stop/start. This is a good film for Guy to tell the world he is back but not the great film I expected.
I did not go to see this film for plot, dialogue or acting but to see a childhood toy come to life. One word WOW! It was just a lot of fun, action and hotness rolled into a couple of hours of escape. Don't see this film if you want depth, cerebral exercise or art. This is a film to just have fun with. Lighten Up!!!
This movie is disjointed and painfully slow. There were so many parts from the book that were left out, so many people missing. Creative license was used and abused. My children (12 &15 and real fans of the movie series until now!) were so upset that they wanted to leave mid way through. Sad..... I hope the director that is chosen for the last installment keeps to the book or there will be a lot of money lost and many people angry for the fantasy being decimated!!!
I thought this movie would take me back to a time when screaming and holding on to a loved one meant a very good Valentine's day. Not this time! Sex, drugs and some pretty good music is all this movie gave. The audience actually laughed through most of it. I walked out sad that this was the "best" the theaters had to offer? As a med student I thought the gore would be substantial in this day and age. Sorry.... that disappointed to and not one good scare... Jason needs to stay dead once and for all.
After 19 years, some serious aging and a lot of other filmmaker's work (with similar plots, i.e: The Mummy et. al.), the Lucus team has pulled off an excellent film. This film met expectations and then some. This was Indy at his best. The story flowed well, ties to the past films were nicely done and it was well worth the price of admission! Don't let people who expect Lucas to turn back time and technology keep you from enjoying this experience. Our theater gave it a standing ovation!!!
