Not as good as hoped or HYPED

Once again I was a victim of the hype machine! Now don't get me wrong this is a servicable flick but NOT a great one. It was worth the $6 admission but not more than that. Karen Allen looked like someone's granma after an all night binge. And she was the love interest!!! The guy who's suppossed to take over for Indy in future pics needs to do some serious bulking up and take manly man lessons from Harrison or Sean. Hey, even a lesson or two from Elton or David Bowie would help this wimp. The stunts were OK, the pyro was a solid B and the story line was a C-. The full house at the 4:15 PM showing on Saturday certainly hoped for more but didn't get it. No laughing, no applause and no exclamations of surprise. But no boo's either. You can always tell a hype-job flick when the crowd waiting to get in is MORE enthusiastic than the one coming out. This will have good receipts but no legs. Will do well in DVD Spielberg, Kennedy and Lucas will not lose money. Ford gets out with no dogs in the Indy kennel. Overall just a day at the movies with a not too challenging film. If you expect little you will be satisfied.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
