Maybe it was just me, but I didn't get it, and didn't like it. It was dark, loud, and full of computer graphics more appropriate for a Batman movie than a murder mystery set in the 1800's. Over acted, long and violent. Robert Downey Jr. played Sherlock as a twisted, angry, depressed man, desperately in need of an intervention. Hmmmm. Go rent Indiana Jones and stay home.
Along the lines of Forrest Gump, this film is meaningful and well thought out. It is nice to see a film that is well written and beautifully filmed, with an important message. Though it is long, the story will pull you in and time passes quickly. It is nominated, so go and see it.
Prince Caspian certainly didn't have the charm and innocence of the first film, with the majority of the movie featuring epic battle scenes, but it stayed to the story line. For those Lord of the Rngs fans out there, this film will do well. For someone looking to enjoy a sweet children's story, you may want to wait until the next book in the series is made into a movie.
