Good to See Indy One More Time

It was good to see Indy in one more movie. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a good movie. It started out strong, but could not hold the story together to be a great movie.
To prep for seeing this movie, I watched the original Indiana Jones, the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Now there was a movie that knew how to keep a tight story line, keep the tension high, and a flowing narrative.
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull didn't quite match Raiders of the Lost Ark in those skills. That said, it was a fun movie, and for most of the movie I thought the interplay between Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf was great. Ironically, when they are supposed to be their closest, is when they are least comfortable. They worked best as the smart-alecky student and reluctant teacher.
The movie does a great job with references back to past characters (the shot of the Ark is classic), and what Dr. Jones was up to during World War II. I doubt I am the only one who wishes a movie or two about that period could have been made. The movie also does a great job of dealing with the fact that Dr. Jones is getting older, and feeling the mileage.
All in all, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a fun movie worth seeing on the big screen.
