The last few years we have been going to a movie on Christmas weekend. This year my 23 year old son, who loves Coen brother movies, and my husband chose True Grit. It was a little slow in the beginning but Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld were outstanding. I thought Josh Brolin had a wimpy part considering how important his character was to the movie's plot. Matt Damon was good but not his usually great performance either.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great Sequel

I enjoyed the movie with all the linking references to the past episodes. Indy is still sexy and cute for those over 40. Bringing back Karen Allen was a nice touch and Shia LaBeouf did a great job as the new sidekick.
It was fun to be one of the first to view the movie, my husband and I don't go to the show too often. Entertaining and fun.
