Having seen the movie in 2D, there was moments where the focus was horribly offset: these were parts of the film that I could only assume were intentioned for 3D. On top of that, the dialogue was at times incredibly difficult to understand. True, the story was full of dread and fancy as is usual with all of Tim Burton's movies and from the start, you see his touch on the entire art design. And although there were some funny moments throughout the film, most were very childish; Tim Burton opted for a darker story that falls short.
<Spoiler Alert!>I knew from the trailers to not watch the movie expecting the original story of Alice in Wonderland, as this is a completely new story of Alice's return to Wonderland.
This movie was sensationalism for the sake of sensationalism. For my friends and I, it was more of a guilty pleasure to just make fun of this movie throughout the enitre film. There are so many little inacurracies, but as long as you take your brain out, you'll have fun. It was truly a waaaaay over the top destruction movie.
