Cliche-ridden pretentious bore

Revolutionary Road was a collection of boring 1950's suburban US clichess with over the top acting by two hugely overrated actors. The pretentious, ponderous, and predictable editing, set design, and music made this movie not only bad but nearly unwatchable. Go watch Far From Heaven or the first season of Mad Men to see how a story about a 1950's Connecticut marriage should be done.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I knew I would like this movie but it was even better than I expected. Sean Penn deserves all of the stellar reviews. His Milk is one of the greatest characters I have seen in movies in years. His energy drives the film and pushes far beyond your average biopic. I feel like I know the man in a way that I rarely feel after seeing a film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
