Even though Maria Bello was flat & unconvincing, & John Hannah was much, much too old to be their son, Brendan Fraser was fantastic as usual. The special effects were good, as well as the other characters, but it is no "The Mummy". Maybe they can make it up in Peru.
This is not the best of the Indiana Jones movies, but at least he does finally get the girl. The story line is workable, especially if you know about the Chrystal Skulls. The movie looks & feels like someone who has been at it too long and wants to bring all the loose ends together for a graceful exit. In some respects, it was a little sad, especially for someone like me who has seen him on the big screen since "Star Wars" originally showed. The only real problem I had was not with the Indiana Jones character or the story line, but with his son. Give me a break -- the sword fighting was pushing it, but the 'TARZAN' effect, come on!!!!
