the dark knight...a masterpiece!!

this movie is a perfect example of why spending $9 to sit in a theater, surrounded by hundreds of strangers, in seats where god knows how many other people have sat, paying a small fortune for subpar popcorn and a watered down drink, is totally worth it. each character in this movie was well developed, well played (or were they? the actors became their characters...was it heath ledger, or was it just the joker in all his diabolical splendor?), and mesmerizing. of course, the big star of the show was truly the joker. they could have just as well called this movie "the joker". don't get me wrong, each character was germaine to the story and worth every penny to sit in and become a voyeur to, but heath ledger's acting in this movie was above and beyond anything we could have ever hoped for. every single time he came on the screen i could not take my eyes away from him, and neither did i want to. he was in that film what every actor hopes to achieve in his or her career, he was masterful! and that is why when i left the theater, i couldn''t help but mourn for him all over again. that such a talent could be gone from the big screen and this life forever is truly a tragedy made ever more painful after viewing his last and truly his greatest acting achievement ever. i have been to see this movie multiple times already. and if you haven't seen it yet, what the heck are you waiting for? get up and run, don't walk to see the best movie of this year! hurry now...move it...
