Bad Ass Mo Fo Cinema!

The Rock hits HARD in this tale of revenge that is served cold like leftover turkey!
What better way to spend the happy holidays than to see Dwayne Johnson bring the pain in this 2010 version of "Raw Deal"! He IS the modern day Arnold in the cinema world (if you haven't noticed)!
The supporting cast in this rough & rugged flic is pretty sweet too. Billy Bob Thornton is a real sleaze bag! It's hard to believe he use to be hooked up with Angelina Jolie.
"Faster" is real tough guy cinema with heart! During the nonstop action, themes like redemption, forgiveness, and the human condition are explored.
If you liked "Expendables", I think you will enjoy this one as well!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

No Substance: Deathly Hollow!

Oh God! I just wasted a good evening watching this poorly written movie! I really liked the Harry Potter film before this one. What happened?
Join the gang on a confusing and pointless journey that could have been told in 30 minutes as opposed to 2 & 1/2 hours! It was like a drawn out televison episode.
Don't waste your time or your money on this one. I'm sorry to give this sucker a bad review but it deserves it! Good thing this series is coming to an END!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Nonstop Thrills!

Tony Scott delivers another signature cinema spectacular in this stunning first-rate feature!
The story was intense and had me on the edge of my seat! It wasn't too complicated, which gave the actors plenty of room to work with. Ethan Suplee and Rosario Dawson did an excelllent job as supporting cast members. Their performances were very real.
Denzel and Chris were the flic's dynamic duo! They played well off each other and there was a real chemistry between them.
"Unstoppable" has a tried and true formula that WORKS! You won't be disappointed!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Mega Mind: Too Cool For School!

Today was a holiday. At the mall you could tell school was closed. Everyone was out shopping and stuff. I got off of work early and decided to take in the # 1 movie in America: Mega Mind!
To be honest, the trailer for this film didn't do it for me. It looked like a picture full of sarcasm. It was the $46 million gross this past weekeend that really peaked my interest.
And I wasn't disappointed! This flic is a whole lotta FUN! The story was clever, creative, and cool! The influence of veteran DC comic book characters could clearly be seen. However, it had a twist: telling the super villian's side of the story.
In Mega Mind, the underachiever or "bad apple" gets a chance to mend his ways. Will Ferrell gives life and humanity to an animated bad boy on his road to redemption. But it isn't easy. The road is filled with turns and dips that will boggle your mind!
Bring On The Bad Guys is the title of a Marvel Comics graphic novel. This movie brings on & brings out the unexpected HERO in a normally evil icon! And it has a party doing it!
The MJ closing music was perfectly awesome! And like Where's Waldo, see if you can spot Ben Stiller's voice cameo!
Shout out to Brad Pitt & Tina Fey! Dreamworks, you've done it again!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Hereafter is POWERFUL Cinema!

Matt Damon and director Clint Eastwood join forces again for an incredibly enlightening film about LIFE & DEATH!
This one is similar to Babel, in that, it takes you on a journey through the lives of different characters and then weaves them all together.
It's done in a very creative way. You get the feeling you are watching a foreign film, but with an American Splendor.
The acting is really dynamic! And the entire cast gave stellar performances!
Hereafter is visually stunning too! Most awesome is the tidal wave scene! This is a MUST see on the big screen! It feels so real! So powerful! I was completely impacted by this sequence.
There is a lot of feeling put into this film. And if you are ready to open yourself up to it, this movie can be a real enjoyable experience!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Yes Sir! Old School in the HOUSE! Who said extreme action and adventure was limited to the young?
Bruce Willis and an all-star cast of veteran actors bring the heat in this explosive film!
The twists and turns, ups and downs, and unpredictable story will have you feeling like you are riding a rollercoaster!!
DC Comics has finally brought us a Super-Film without the typical superheroes!
If you are ready for great entertainment, RED is definately for you!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The Devil Made Me Do It!

The chance to see good old Lucifer on film could not be passed up. Even if M. Night is affiliated with this movie.
"Devil" was an all around intense motion picture. I was on the edge of my seat and completely entertained!
It was good to see Bokeem Woodbine and Jacob Vargas working again. They both played their rolls to a "T" and turned up the heat!
The message in the end was pretty powerful, even though the Satan twist could have been better executed.
This flic illustrated "Hell on Earth" in a very graphic way, and worked for me.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Intense Hip-Hop Action!

I'll be honest. I was hating on this flic since I saw the trailer. It looked like another attempt of Hollywood to make the Black man look like a criminal and to glorify crime.
Okay, maybe this movie does this to a certain degree, but it is a really entertaining film. "Takers" as you will find out, applies not only to the criminals and the cops, but to the Blacks and Whites as well.
The entire cast did a superb job. And the direction and story were edge-of-your-seat and action packed!
Even the accused woman beater Chris Brown got his just due in the end.
If you can't find justice in reality, it's always nice to find it in cinema!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Hot Chicks Rock 3-D Zombie Flic!

This movie had some of the BEST live-action 3-D I have ever seen! And Milla Jovovich looked so cute I wanted to reach out and give her a big hug and a kiss!
It was more about visual effects than story in this one. But that's okay! The Third Dimension and Matrix style slow motion worked its magic on me. And the chicks in this flic were total eye candy.
I felt like I was inside a video game, battling creepy zombies, and hanging out with smokin' babes! What more could I ask for? (Maybe a cheaper ticket)
This film was great prep for TRON! Can I get a witness?!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Viva Machete!

Now this is what I call groovy cinema! It was just as crisp and funky as a album being played for the first time!
Director and multi-tasker Robert Rodriguez skillfully blends action and satire in one of his coolest films since Desperado!
I laughed a lot! And really enjoyed the colorful cast of quirky characters. Robert De Niro's performance was hip! Danny Trejo was solid! And Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez were simply stunning!
Latinos seem to be constantly under fire in the media with regard to illegal immigration..
Robert Rodriguez takes this important issue and turns it into a flavorful dish, filled with powerful social commentary. He presents both sides of the coin, while still allowing you to appreciate the humor of life.
Machete may look like a "B" movie, but it gets an "A"!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
