James Franco is a really dynamic actor! From the Spider-Man trilogy to Pineapple Express to his most recent cameo in The Green Hornet, he really makes his mark on the big screen!
In "127 Hours" he practically pulls off the movie all by himself!
His performance is intense and full of spirit!
If you like great acting, then you'll love this motion picture!
This is a film every American should see! With the current economic crisis we are facing, the hard times can be a real downer.
But there is HOPE and a possibilty of CHANGE. And that is exactly what this movie presents while keeping you entertained!
The cast was incredible! From Ben Affleck to Tommy Lee Jones, every actor fit their part to a "T".
Having gone through similar unfortunate cirumstances as the characters, I could relate to their dilema of a lost lifestyle and the need to be persistent despite it all.
Kevin Costner and Chris Cooper were also great and gave intense performances that I think you will enjoy.
It's a jungle out there. But it 's good to see a filmmaker like John Wells confront troubled times with drama, humor, and an engaging story.
In the end, this movie is a great example of a famoue Jessie Jackson saying. Despite financial setbacks: "Keep HOPE ALIVE"!
The Green Hornet and his main man Kato are some real L.A. heroes! The West Coast has been in need of a funky dynamic duo for a long time! Like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre...Here they are!
And "there is something about" Cameron Diaz that makes this movie complete! Not to mention the stellar performances of Edward James Olmos and Chistoph Waltz!
The cast is excellent and the story superb! It has the perfect blend of action and comedy; at times formula, but with unexpected twists and turns!
Seth Rogen's comedic timing is on the money! He's real funny! While Jay Chou is a charismatic fighting machine! Together they are a force to be reckoned with!
The weapons and gadgets in this film are hip and off-the-wall. They'd make 007 jealous!
But don't take my word for it. Check out this pop culture phenomenon at your local theater, and witness the action leap from the comic book page onto the big screen!
Then check out Kevin Smith's "Green Hornet" graphic novel! You'll be glad you did!
The Coen Brothers have done it again! "True Grit" is a fine piece of cinema that is well crafted and very creative!
The story flowed like a running river, with its twists and unknown turns!
It's been a while since I've heard such beautiful dialogue on the big screen! I'm not talking about comic one liners. I'm talking about some REAL conversations!
The characters were quirky, grounded, and with true merit. This film introduced the American West in a whole new light and explored the maturity, determination, and intelligence of youth.
The entire cast was superb! Hailee Steinfeld was intense! Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon brought the heat! And it was great to see Barry Pepper back in the mix!
This is one of those movies that I thoroughly enjoyed up until the end. I won't spoil it for you. But the twist didn't sit well with me.
However, the on-screen chemistry between Depp and Jolie was real romantic. And the Italian setting was simply gorgeous and perfect for this type of story.
The Tourist is funny, fun, and frequently filled with action and suspense. It was like a pulp novel from the good old days coming to life!
And it was also a total nerd fantasy. What goofy guy wouldn't want to be swept into an adventure with the beautful and dynamic Angelina Jolie. The concept alone must have given this film the green light.
This film felt like a watered down version of "Pirates of the Caribbean".
What it really needed was someone like Johnny Depp a.k.a Captain Jack Sparrow at the helm of the Dawn Treader! (Makes me want to have seen "The Tourist" instead).
There were some cute moments in this film. Unfortunately "moments" don't make a great movie.
I have to admit, I enjoyed reading C.S. Lewis' "Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" more than watching this big screen boo boo!
Encourage your kids to READ instead of wasting time with this one!
I'm a huge fan of the retro samuari film "Shogun Assassin". And "The Warrior's Way" is a total homage to that motion picture.
Sure this movie appears to be entirely shot on a set/sound stage, and in front of a green screen. But the classic story structure, cool action scenes, and the diverse cast make this film a winner!
As a life long U.S. audience member and a fan of Hong Kong cinema and John Woo films, it's like a breath of fresh air to see an Asian style flic mixed with the American old west on the big screen.
Though I think this movie would have done better numbers at the boxoffice if it was released in the summer or fall. I'm no studio head, but it seems out of place for Christmas time. Kinda like the Rock's "Faster".
Underneath the violence and bloodshed in this film there is a story of honor and humanity. If you enjoy Kung Fu flics and have an affinity for the Spaghetti Western, then you'll get a real kick (and karate chop) out of this one!
Here it is folks! Another Disney Classic! Round up the kids, Grandma & Grandpa, and head over to the nearest big screen! Too bad you can't bring the dog 'cause he'd get a real kick out of the horse in this movie!
"Tangled" is animation at its BEST! The characters are wonderful! The story keeps you guessing! And the scenes are breathtakingly beautiful!
This film had the perfect balance of adventure, comedy, and romance! I cried! I actually CRIED from the aesthetic brilliance of this movie!
Disney did a first-rate job taking an old fairy tale and giving it new LIFE and meaning! It was like Aladdin, Treasure Planet, and The Little Mermaid all rolled up into one!
The musical numbers will knock your socks off! And the action sequences will completely WOW you!
As you can see, I REALLY enjoyed this film! And I think you will too!
