Do you remember the Never Ending Story with Barett Oliver? Well, the latest Harry Potter film is similar. It's an endless tale that's actually really good.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that The Half-Blood Prince surpassed my expectations.
The new and returning cast make this segment worth watching and very entertaining.
Author J.K. Rowling has created characters and a universe that continue to translate well onto the big screen.
If you're looking for some suspense, action, laughs, romance, and magic, you've come to the right place!
Why did I see this movie? It's because I'm talking to this chick who is into dinosaurs. So I thought, what the heck, maybe I'll get a kick out of it.
Rather I was pretty disappointed by this silly cinema. If it wasn't the psych references about "therapy' and "getting one's head examined" it was the boring plot and stale humor that annoyed me.
Instead of really exploring LIFE, the story seemed to be crafted by a psychologist to teach behavior lessons. Most of the dumb dumbs in the audience just laughed at the surface layer of this picture.
But if you dig deeper, you'll find that the subliminal content isn't very WISE at all. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa was a much better film. And an example of animation and story done right.
I really don't know what the so-called critics are complaining about. Transformers 2 is a blockbuster movie that has a compelling story and lovable characters.
Sure there are the ebonics speaking robots which were offensive for a person of color like myself. But everything else fits together so well.
The IMAX experience of this film was my second viewing. And I got a kick out of the movie once again!
John Turturro was hilarious! And Shia and Megan made a perfect on-screen couple. Michael Bay really did a great job directing the cast and bringing the robotics and special effects all together.
Big ups to Steven Speilberg and DreamWorks for making it all happen! I'm looking forward to part 3!
I think the Movie Rhino and I would agree that Transformers 2 was a pretty awesome flic.
As a matter of fact (or opinion), I feel this one was better than the first. The story was bigger, the fight scenes were more explosive, and the drama and action were top notch!
It was great to see the original cast return. And the new robots and faces.took it to the next level in entertainment.
It's amazing that this spectacular production was based off an 80's action figure series by Hasbro. Could we see a Thunder Cats live-action movie in the near future?
I'm already stoked about The Last Airbender (Avatar) trailer that preceded this sequel.
Finally! The cartoons & toys are really coming to LIFE! Thanks Hollywood!
Hey! Didn't any Black people exist back then? No. I'm not talking about (Jack) Black. I mean people of color! Oh yeah! This is a Hollywood production.
Year One wasn't directed by Woody Allen but it had its funny moments. Minus Jack Black and it would have been a total dud.
There were good comical portrayals of biblical events and happenings which reminded me of Mel Brook's "History Of The World". The filmmakers simplified sacred lore and made grand stories seem ordinary and humorous.
However, there was too much male on male humor.
And it looked real low, low, low budget. Nice supporting cast. But this movie could have been way better!
This film really worked for me! It was well directed, well written, well acted, and very entertaining. I guess you could call this "Classic Tony Scott".
It was also great to see two incredible actors like Denzel and Travolta together in the same movie. It had that energy like the unforgettable team up of Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction.
And John Turturro made the movie feel a little like a Spike Lee Joint too!
This ones definately worth going to the cinema to see. Don't wait for the DVD. Treat yourself.
Dance Flick was stupid funny! I mainly laughed at how dumb the humor was.
Being a Wayans fan since the days of "In Living Color", I was expecting a better movie. White Chicks and Little Big Man were much more entertaining to me.
However, Damon Wayans, Jr. did a great job. And I'm sure his father is very proud.
What I'm really waiting to see is the big screen reunion of Jim Carrey and the Wayans. Now that would be a FLICK to DANCE to!
Disney and Pixar have done it again! Here's an animated feature that is sure to go down in history as a classic!
"UP" is the adventure of a lifetime! And the creative choice of characters and story make this movie such a pleasure to watch!
Who would have thought that an Old Timer and a Fat Kid would make the perfect duo. But they do. And their relationship captures the spirit of humanity.
I laughed and I cried. And I cried AGAIN. I was completely moved by this cinematic and captivating motion picture!
