"Invictus" is a powerful film with a lot of heart! Clint Eastwood did a great job capturing a slice of world history and putting it on the big screen.
As an American, this movie introduced me to a rough and tough sport I was not familiar with...rugby. And it also introduced me to the story of a legendary South African president and the challenges he faced uniting a nation.
Somewhat slow and a little predictable, this film still deserves to be watched for its message, drama, and historical content.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Sherlock Holmes was great fun to watch! Robert and Jude made a brilliant detective duo and were really hilarious!
The old English setting provided a classic backdrop to an unpredictable story . And Guy Ritchie's contemporary and creative directing added the flare and style that this movie needed!
Holmes is an intellectual Super Hero whose keen eye and mind take you on an unforgettable journey!
If you are in the mood for some Smart Action, then Sherlock has a case for YOU!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie! As a single guy I could relate to George Clooney's character and many of the situations he found himself in.
The cast in this film did a wonderful job! And the writers and director brought an innovative story to the screen.
Both of my cousins fell asleep during the movie. But they had a couple of drinks before the show. I was sober and stayed awake through the entire feature.
This one may have a slow pace, but it is well worth it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

James Cameron's "Avatar" is a modern day "Dances With Wolves" with a Sci-Fi twist. And that's not a put down. It is really, really GOOD!
From begining to end I was thoroughly entertained by the story, facinating characters, and all out action!
Cameron is a classic Hollywood storyteller. He brillantly crafted a film that speaks to audiences on a number of levels. And there is great social and spiritual commentary in this movie.
If you enjoyed "Titanic" you will find his latest picture just as epic and spectacular!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Look out Mulan and Princess Jasmine! There's a Soul Sister coming through!
Disney finally released an animated movie with an African-American main character! Better late than never. And boy was it worh the wait!
The Princess and The Frog is incredibly heart warming with musical numbers that will knock your socks off! I laughed and I cried at this wonderfully crafted film.
The voice talent was exceptional. And the story in tune with Southern U.S. culture, style and dialect!
Returning to traditional animation was a brilliant idea and helped to make this one another Disney classic!
I want to see it again!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is one of those movies that made me realize that my life isn't as bad as I thought.
The world that these characters live in is pretty aweful. And I wouldn't wish their lifestyle on anyone. That said, the story grabbed me and the performances were really intense. Great cast and some fine acting in this film!
There are dark times and a few good ones as well. After seeing this flic, I value the family that I have a little more.
Can a MOVIE do that? Yes it can.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not So Fantastic!

Mr. Fox was good but it wasn't fantastic. I thought Wes Anderson would have brought a better film to the table.
The old school style animation was cool. And George Clooney did a pretty fine job voicing the crafty character. I just felt detached from the story, being a person of color, all the animals were so Anglo. Can't a brother get a voice over job?
The only funky/soulful element was the song in the trailer. And even that song is missing from the soundtrack album.
I spent too much money on this one. I'm sure the DVD will be better with all its special features.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Everybody Kung-Fu Fighting!

Awesome...Just Awesome Action in this one! And an excellent homage to Bruce Lee films of the past like Enter The Dragon!
I needed a good Kung-Fu flic in my life. It had been missing for so long! And Ninja Assassin did the trick. There were so many bloody bodies falling in this movie that it even took me back to the classic samurai picture Shogun Assassin.
The story in Ninja Assassin is pretty simple but with complex fight scenes. And with an Asian hero and an African-American leading lady, you KNOW I liked the casting!
I think I worked off that Thanksgiving dinner just by watching this action packed spectacular!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

An All-New Classic!

At first I was like, "Bah Humbug! Why should I go see this movie?" But then I remembered that Jim Carrey and Robert Zemeckis lead the creative team on this one.
So I popped on my 3-D glasses and hung on for the ride! And boy was it FUN! I thought I knew the Charles Dicken's story. But I was wrong! Zemeckis and Carrey take it to another level of entertainment!
The visuals were dazzling and the story heart warming; with an animated Gary Oldman who added to the depth of drama.
There were parts that might be too spooky for youngsters. But the magic, spirit, and message are perfect for this time of year!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie was totally AWESOME! It's an all new cinematic roller coaster ride for all ages! Welcome to Six Flags-Hollywood!
As the ancient Mayans foresaw, director Roland Emmerich returns with an epic picture that grabs you and won't let go. And he sure loves to destroy things! The special effects of planetary obliteration are just amazing and must be viewed on the big screen.
The cast was fabulous! Danny Glover, John Cusack and the rest made up a diverse and talented ensemble.
If you get a kick out of big event movies, I PREDICT you'll really enjoy this one.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
