Other than a few charming scenes, none of which involved Carrie Bradshaw, this movie was indulgent, vapid, ignorant, and cringe worthy. I literally groaned out loud. Not only was it completely distasteful in handling Muslim culture, the way the girls acted traveling abroad was sickening. I was so excited to see this movie since I thought the first one was so much fun, but I walked out feeling dirty and ashamed to be an American girl. Are we really so self absorbed that we satisfy our outrage over womens rights in the Middle East by learning that they secretly wear head to toe designer clothes under their birkas? (sp) Especially when that scene follows the most crass, unfunny, disrespectful, ugly american scene ever? I'm SO bummed! And I don't see how Single Ladies is the song of choice for Liza Minelli (sp) at a gay wedding. How many movies from 2008 on are going to think it's fresh and funny to do a single ladies parody? Ugh. And how are they trying to get people to advocate gay marriage when one of them is allowed to cheat? I don't get it I don't get it.
