I was truly disappointed with this movie.... :( I have watched all of Miyazaki's movies with great joy over and over... Totoro being my favorite.. But Ponyo lacked something.. It just did not draw my attention and maybe because it was the voices in English.... I stayed so my kids could watch it and truthfully they were also disappointed..... We expected better from Hayao Miyazaki.... No real excitement or great adventure... just alot of colors and imagination... But don't get me wrong! I love Hayao Miyazaki..... I will be there for his next adventure!!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The movie was excellent!!! The theater was not as crowded as I expected. WE screamed our butts off when L and all the main characters came out KYAAAAA!!!!! Like everyone is saying it would have been better if we had english subs and Japanese origin. I didn't like the fact that there were some people there who knew nothing about the series or manga, they made it somewhat boring. The ending could have better, but wait tilll you guys see #2.....
Yes, I recommend this movie.
