This movie has EVERYTHING that is RIGHT. GREAT actors (even the children), direction, setting, props, and story. The mixture was so good - in between laughing, crying, and having 'church' I REALLY,REALLY,REALLY had a GREAT time!!
It started out a little 'slow' but this movie picked up and really took off. It was good to laugh at common love mistakes and watch the two characters finally get together. It is also a FAMILY movie that you can take all the children to see as well.
I had to go see this one twice before I understood what happened. But once I saw it the second time it really was a good movie complete with good direction, acting, and effects. Very graphic with butt naked nude scenes so I would not take my younger kids to see it.
From beginning to end this is one FUNNY movie. Although romantic it was not too serious and told a good story of how 'unexpected' falling in love can be - and the consequences thereof.
I walked into the theatre and there was TWO other people besides me. Before the first 30 minutes they got up and left. I sat through the whole movie but never found anything funny about it. Some of the scenes were outright offensive.
I liked the story - it got a little confusing at times, but overall I was able to sit through the whole thing. I think this is the kind of movie people like me have to watch more than one time to 'get it'.
I expected to see a horror movie, but to my suprise I witnessed a wonderfully told story about the family of a young girl with cancer. Excellent acting, direction, and visuals. This is a very MOTIVATING and ENCOURAGING movie that every family member can attend and enjoy.
It's an 'odd' movie to me - but there were several scenes that made me laugh. You can't take any of this movie seriously - or you won't enjoy it. I liked the way it started and the way it ended. When I got home and reflected I could see there was a 'point' being made about the quality of friendship
