I've been waiting 19 years to go back to the theatre and see Indy crack the whip, and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was another trip across the globe for our favorite archaeologist. Behind all of the layers, Indy 4 is still a period piece, set amongst the rising fear of communism, increasing paranoia from "encounters" people have been having across the world, and generally an age of secrets. The movie does a great job of capturing the feeling at the onset of the Cold War and how it would have affected our favorite archaeologist. From there, it's Indy as usual - crazy chase scenes, wild animal encounters and just plain beating up on Commies. The ending may throw some for a loop, but I thought that Lucas did an excellent job of playing off people's fears in the late 50's,. If you keep that in mind the ending will fit right in. If you're an Indy fan, a Harrison Ford fan, or just want to have a great time and see an awesome movie, check out Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
