Perplexed and let down...

I went in to this movie not really knowing too much about it. I didn't want to see the previews and I didn't want to know much about it because knowing it was an Indiana Jones flick was enough for me. Maybe if I had known more I wouldn't have come away from it as perplexed as I did.
It did make me laugh. It did make me go "OMG!" and it also had the "ick" factor in a scene that was (to me) a bit too long. Other than that...
I loved the face Indi made when he saw his long-time-ago love. He looked like a school boy with a school-boy crush all over again. I'm sure that's what they were going for and if so, great job!!
Some of the lines were too predictable and even a couple of the scenes were a bit too telling about what was going to happen.
It did entertain me, but the idea (I don't want to give out any [more] spoilers) and the direction the story line took just made me laugh and ended up leaving me with a let down feeling. It was a bit too cheesy for me.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
