Twilight does well with the danger, teen angst and swooning, but completely leaves out the wit and charm of the character of Edward for 80% of the film. As a result, Bella's character seems like more of an idiot for falling for him as the only attractions are his looks and bad boy status. I'm at a loss for why they left out some of the fun, short and clever exchanges that define these two character's relationship in the books. That said, I think they nailed the Cullen family and Bella's relationship with her parents. This will mostly satisfy fans, but I think those who have not read the book will be at a loss as to why this relationship is supposedly a romance for the ages.
