From the beginning you get the feel it will be an epic story. One thing is for sure is that it surpasses other Trek movies by not feeling like a 2 hour episode. From the effects to the story it was awesome. For the first time there was no sound in space. And the new crew did an exceptional job, including Chris Pines who has several moments that you forget he isn't Shatner. But the real surprise was Karl Urban. When Karl Urban plays Bones you see it in every mannerism, voice and attitude. It is exceptional!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
