All of the midnight showings at Willowbrook Movie Tavern were sold out and everyone left the theater with the same opinion - It was awsome!
In Batman Begins Christian Bale took the Batman character from cartoon to reality making sense of so much that was just fantasy and he continues this in this movie.
In The Dark Knight Heath Leger does the same for the cartoon villian The Joker. Although many reviewers concentrate on Leger's role, this is clearly an ensemble work where each character is equally weighted and the acting is strong across the board.
The movie is long at 2 and half hours, but not once did I look at my watch nor did anyone around me. It's a must see movie and possibly one of the best since the summer of Star Wars 3 and Batman Begins.
I do not recommend the movie however for younger viewers though. It's two and half hours of darkness and violence even though nothing truly gruesome is shown it is implied and the good guys struggle with staying the good guys and the bad guys at time appear to be good. It's definitely an adult movie.
