Good, but lacked a bit of heart

Compared to the books, the movie doesn't even compare. However, as a movie alone, it was pretty good. I just felt it lacked a bit of heart...and it's not the actor's fault; it was just the script.
Also, after seeing Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, it felt like I'd seen these battle scenes somewhere else before. The Narnia books were written before those, but the movies have the misfortune of coming after those big epic series, so it does cause a bit of a problem. Having said that, I really did like the movie...I just have high expectations as a C.S. Lewis fan!
