This was the best movie I had seen in a very long time. Having read the stories as a child, I am now sharing them with my 9 year old son. I would recommend this movie for just about any age - although I felt my 5 year old daughter was not quite ready - she stayed home with Dad. Parents should use their own judgement on whether they feel their kids can handle it. There is a lot of exciting sword fighting and war scenes, but some scenes may require explaining to small children who may worry. All-in-all a fantastic film with incredible special effects. Even if you are not familiar with the stories - if you enjoyed Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings you will most definately get your money's worth.
