After the somewhat slow moving Part 1, Part 2 takes us back to the conflict between good and evil. Grint and Watson are particularly good in this film as is Finnes. Ratcliff carries off his role as Harry. The movie stays true to the last half of the book. There are some great scenes that get folks into the action like when Mama Wesley takes on Bella. Yates delivers, and while I saw this in 2D, I can see that many of the effects would make this well worth seeing in 3D. A great ending to a great series of movies.
All in all Prince Caspian captures the essence of the C.S. Lewis novel. While darker than the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, it is the test of belief for all the principal characters. Each character must come to trust in the presence of the Lion or despair and turn toward evil. There are a couple of slow spots, but the slow spots mirror the novel. The battle scenes are fascinating and the strength of faith to overcome all is magnificently portrayed when Lucy and Aslan face down the Army on the Bridge. With one mighty roar, Aslan wins the day. All in all a well done movie.
