What keeps me from giving this a 5* (perfect) rating, is that first of all, they downplayed Aslan—the absolute Hero of all of the Chronicles. Secondly, they left out some really GOOD STUFF - perhaps to have more of the fighting & warring scenes? The Chronicles of Narnia were written for children, though a vast number of adults rave about them because it’s such awesome reading. But I would not take very young children to see it because of the amount of violence. Some violence would be appropriate because it’s a fact of life, but I think it could have been more balanced. BTW—if and when they make The Magician’s Nephew, I’m hoping Christopher Lloyd plays the part of Uncle Andrew.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
