Sometimes it is hard to see a movie after you have read the book...often times 'Hollywood' has a totally different opinion of what we feel the true story was about. Who knows if Stephenie Meyers was really thinking about a Tom Cruise lookalike from An Interview with a Vampire when she was writing about Carlisle...and how an olive complected male with long dark hair named Laurant turned into a jamaican vampire with dreds is also hard to explain, but that's the effect that Hollywood has on our books. The movie stayed very true to the book and that was refreshing. It did move quickly, so if you have not read the stories, you may not fully comprehend the movie, but you will still love it.
