The Deathly Hallows part 1 was frighteningly dark and ominous, just as it should be. The movie did justice to the book (so far) and we were able to see more depth of character than ever before. There was an honest urgency and uncertainty throughout which mirrors real life, taking Harry Potter past the realm of fairy tale to something closer to reality. For those who haven't read the book, one cannot be certain at this point who will "live happily ever after", if any.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
