Our family loves the Narnia books (all 7), and eagerly awaited this movie. Loved the first one. This one does not disappoint either. I agree that it is definitely a sequal that makes more sense after seeing the first movie. The telling of the story follows a different order than the book, but enacted telling is by very nature different, and that didn't bother me much. The added scenes worked OK, but there was enough in the book that was NOT used that there was really no reason to invent new conflicts. It was beautiful cinematography and costuming. Reepicheep was captured perfectly, as were many of the characters, though they were not all named or "developed" as they are in the book. Edmund was just as well-acted as last time. Susan was fierce and inspiring, but Peter was portrayed as being a bit too dark for my liking. Aslan and Lucy remain the heartfelt core of the story, as they should.
