After seeing the rather docile adaptation of the first book, I thought I had reasonable expectations for this movie. But this movie actually exceeded them.
Having just re-read the book last week, I could clearly see all the differences in this adaptation. Yet, I really enjoyed them! The movie was well-presented, clever, and had spectacular fighting scenes. The CG was beautiful and the script was good and witty. Ben Barnes' performance as Caspian left much to be desired but that didn't detract too much from the rest of the movie. It was interesting how they made Susan's character a lot stronger and fiercer. In the book, Susan NEVER fought in any battles but in here, she fought in every single one. The romance between Susan and Caspian was unnecessary but entertaining enough.
As mentioned earlier, the plot was very creatively altered from the book. It's interesting to read the book before you watch the movie. Come on, it's only about 200 pages. :)
Overall, a great movie. I only marked it down because of Ben Barnes' performance.
