In the 3rd installment of The Twilight Saga, Eclipse makes leaps and bounds in all aspects. Kristen, Robert and Taylor, as well as the rest of the cast, have grown into their roles and brought the characters to life. The most notable growth comes from Jackson Rathbone, known to TwiHards as Jasper. The film's look into Jasper's life before the Cullens paints a picture the likes of Stephanie Meyer's novel. It's good to see Jasper portrayed as someone capable of intelligent conversation as opposed to someone who stands awkwardly next to the rest of the family.
The battle scene that ensues is EPIC! Riley plays a greater role in the film and his development of the Newborn army intensifies the action. Victoria is out for blood and she'll stop at nothing for vengence. The meeting of the Cullen family/Wolf Pack and the Newborn army in the clearing will leave you with goosebumps.
For fans of the books, you'll love the use of Stephanie's dialogue throughout the movie. One of the most memorable being "I’m exactly right for you, Bella. It would have been effortless for us — comfortable, easy as breathing." Many more of these delicious literary treats await you in the movie. Needless to say, you will NOT be disappointed.
To say I was impressed with New Moon would be a major understatment. The book could not have been brought to life more beautifully or matched my imaginings more. There are elements you aren't expecting that have been added and when the Quileute boys transform into wolves you will be absolutely breathless. I will be seeing again in the theaters. Bravo.
Most readers have already seen Twilight and have their own opinions. To be honest, when I first saw Twilight in theaters, I was none too impressed, but the movie grows on you. What you need to remember, Twilight (Saga) readers, is this is a movie. There are going to be significant differences between the screen version and the written. Stephanie Meyers is a magnificent author who paints a wonderful picture. Seeing the story played out before your eyes, in my opinion, enhances the experience. The characters grow on you, and more and more you can see the similarities. So if you aren't overly impressed the first time, give it a second chance, you may surprise yourself.
