Indy Missed the Mark

It's worth watching on the big screen because of the special effects and surround sound, but otherwise I would classify this as a "renter." It's my least favorite of the Indy movies. I kept waiting for that special "Indiana Jones movie experience" to kick in, and it just never did. There are a couple of great chase scenes, as you would expect. Harrison Ford is as impressive as ever, but there wasn't much for him to sink his teeth into. Shia LeBeouf's "Mutt" could have use some more character development, and seemed a bit wimpy to be Indy's son. Karen Allen's "Marion" looked tired and puffy, and they should have done something about her wiry hair and dowdy outfit. Cate Blanchett's "Irina Spalko" is delicious, but I wanted to see more of her. In conclusion, there were a lot of great elements and characters, but it all just didn't come together as nicely as one would expect from an Indiana Jones movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
