The producers of this film definitely accomplished what is needed to turn a good book into a movie. Bottom line, you can't expect someone to take a book and make the movie just like it word for word or it would suck. In a book you have the advantage of a narrator giving you a "behind the scenes" look into the character's emotions where as in a movie the actors must portray the emotions of the character's themselves. In this movie they changed the story line just enough to give it some added dynamics that gave it more of an epic feel, but they did not stray from the basic plot of what is to be accomplished. Overall, I thought that it was very well done, especially in light of the fact that it is a kids book!:)
