Fun Action Romp

Great visuals, wonderful pacing, and in general just a nice light adventure film. Downey and Law gave great performances. Not sure what was "so hard to follow" about the film; my little brother seemed to keep up with it just fine. Hopefully, we'll get a sequel. Great movie.

Pretty but shallow

Watchmen opens strong, with a truly powerful and artistic first 30 minutes or so. After that, though, the pacing falls apart and the story degenerates into pointless, gratuitous violence. The actors do well enough, for a "comic movie," but won't blow you away. If you're looking for a big, showy "superhero" movie, you could do much worse, but the poor pacing, sloppy, ham-handed conclusion and lack of connection between various acts will leave anyone looking for more very disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
