The latest entry in the X-men Series is kind of a mixed bag. Like most comic book movies it deviates away from the source material in many ways. I would urge anyone who has read the Origins books to stay far away from this one, unless they are also fans of the movies. The portrayals of some of the characters were great, and the story seemed to be going for a mix between the comic book origins and the mass market appeal of the movies. Ryan Reynolds plays a fantastic Wade Wilson, but the character he becomes is not Deadpool, which along with the movies twist ending wound up leaving me with the urge to find the writers and gut them.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
