I took my 7 year old and a few friends to this movie for his birthday and was disappointed. It is being marketed as being the First Family Fun film of the summer, and is being marketed to young children in the stores. However, there is a lot of swearing, and a lot of violence for young children. I had to leave the theater with one of the kids crying because he couldn't take the violence anymore. Not any real gore, but a lot of fighting, gun fights, ninja's. The race scenes were a lot of fun to watch, and we enjoyed those, but the film itself was pretty dark and really not that much fun. Only the race scenes were fun. For adults, it is an ok movie, but for children under 10, questionable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
