This one is for everybody. Even for those with more of Jean-Luc sensibility like me. The analogy of id, super-ego, and ego comprised of, you guessed it, Kirk, McCoy and Spock, is reinvented and explored with delight enough for my type, AND enough entertaining fun to warmly welcome a new fan base to the franchise like Wrath of Khan did in '82. KUDOS to JJ Abrams! Ironically, the 30'ish age group who grew up with TNG, Voyager and Deep Space Nine may feel ever so slightly, well, slighted, but then again, this is simply an enjoyable romp for all and this group will still enjoy. I mean thank Goodness you don't have to know the politics of Bejor and Cardasia! I think Gene would be thrilled with this evolution.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
